            Each recipient receiving a full scholarship (not to exceed the cost of tuition and fees for a student enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester credit hours) must complete a minimum of 12 semester hours each regular term with an overall grade point average of 2.75 or better.

                  The recipient shall be a full-time student majoring in art

Ethel Lewallen Memorial Scholarship        150.00

                  The recipient shall be a full-time student majoring in Art.  The student shall maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA to continue receiving the scholarship for a maximum of no more than five years.

McKee Jane Smith   700.00

            The recipient shall be a Tarleton student of any classification majoring in Art.  The recipient should have and maintain at least a 2.5 overall grade point average and a 3.0 grade point average in art.  The recipient will also be selected based on his or her portfolio of work.  Incoming freshman meeting Tarleton State University admission requirements may also be considered.

Registration starts after spring break

The Summer/Fall 2017 courses are available for viewing. Classes may continue to be added as well as changes made to meeting days and times, rooms and instructors until classes begin. After you register for classes, please review your schedule periodically for changes.  

Registration dates are as follows:

March 24         Honors College Students, Texan Reps, Athletes

March 27         Doctoral/Graduates/Post-Baccalaureate/Senior Students

March 30         Junior Students

April 2             Sophomore Students

April 5             Freshman Students

Registration is based on a student’s current classification. In progress courses are not included when determining classification for registration purposes.

Apply on March 22nd for Student Exhibition

Apply on March 22nd for the 3rd Annual Juried Student Exhibition. This year's juror is Dallas artist Randy Guthmiller. To apply, turn in 1-3 of your best works to FA room 162 by 5pm on March 22nd.  Work must be ready to hang or be screened by a projector/TV.  Please talk to the faculty if you have any questions! You may print your digital work in the lab, just ask your Professor.
